Mbda Signs An Agreement To Purchase Gdi Simulation

European missile company MBDA said on Thursday it had agreed to take over the Airbus Group`s ground vehicle and missile simulation market. GDI Simulation is one of the main French players in simulation for the French army. GDI Simulation based in Ile de France is a small and medium-sized company that employs more than 70 people and has achieved a turnover of 15 million euros in 2018. He designs, assembles, integrates and expects simulation systems for ground vehicles and MBDA battlefield missiles, for French and foreign forces. Over the course of several years, it has developed a well-developed and recognized competence in secure laser systems and provides important services and support to the ground training centers of the French army. GDI Simulation will continue to operate independently of MBDA as the DGA`s primary contractor for simulation systems and as a supplier of MBDA. The terms of the agreement will not be disclosed. MBDA CEO Eric Béranger said: “With the acquisition of GDI, MBDA will strengthen its position in the training of simulation equipment, particularly in the battlefield segment, and combine mbDA`s missile and simulation know-how with GDI Simulation`s industrial capability for the development, production and maintenance of training equipment to provide an integrated solution to its domestic customers.” GDI Simulation will continue to operate independently of MBDA as the DGA`s primary contractor for simulation systems and as a supplier of MBDA.
